Jeez, why won’t anybody ever meet me in Wheaton? It’s filled with great restaurants, a dumpy mall and, starting this weekend, the Montgomery Cinema ‘N’ Drafthouse.

The sister location to the Arlington edition, MCD will serve grub and sling drinks and will feature, in addition to films, Redskins games on the big screen and live stand-up comedy.

Located in the old Wheaton Plaza cinema complex, MCD will benefit from being able to offer movies on six screens, which allows something to be shown for everyone in your family. For instance, perhaps your disaffected teenager would be interested in attending “The Maryland Grindhouse Triple Feature” on Saturday night while you and the missus go see “Mamma Mia!“?

Now, then: Who wants to meet me in Wheaton?
