Sean, 26, works for the U.S. Census Bureau. Pam, 26, is a research assistant and getting her master’s in public health. They live in Gaithersburg, Md.
The Main Event: The two Terps will marry Dec. 1 at the University of Maryland Memorial Chapel.
How They Met: As UMd. students.
First Impressions: “I thought he had a tough side when he’s really a total sweetheart.”
First Date: “Sean actually forgot about our first date because the dining hall was featuring crab cakes (his favorite).” They rescheduled later that week for Noodles & Co.
How He Proposed: A few days before she had major surgery, he bought Indian takeout and prepared a “special dessert” that he promised to reveal after dinner — the ring. He ate dinner as fast as he could to get to the proposal faster.
Most Stupid Fight: Who gets the “big couch.” “She’s 4’11” and I’m 6’2”, and somehow I always sit on the small couch.”
With Infinite Funds: They’d play up their UMd. connections — get the pep band to play them in or have an appearance from the school mascot.
