Expect Delays for Weekend Metrorail Repairs

SCHEDULED TRACK MAINTENANCE continues on the Blue, Yellow, Red and Green Metrorail lines this weekend. Trains will share a single track in the following work zones, so expect delays of up to 20 minutes and plan accordingly.

Screengrab» Blue and Yellow Lines: Expect a 20-minute delay between the Pentagon City and Braddock Road stations, so if you're heading to or from Reagan National Airport, add some extra time if traveling via Metrorail. (7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday)

» Red Line: Delays could be as long as 15 minutes between the Friendship Heights and Medical Center stations. (10 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday; 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday)

» Green Line: Expect a 15-minute delay between the Navy Yard and Southern Avenue stations (9 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m., Sunday). There will also be a 10- to 15-minute delay between the Greenbelt and College Park stations for the installation and testing of new rail cars (7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday).
