People: TMZ Helps Out O.J.? ScarJo's Got Game

TMZ: UNWITTING PAWN OF O.J.? Well we all know that when it comes to celeb gossip sites, TMZ is one of the most aggressive (and hence popular) sites out there. From a Tara Reid makeout session to an Alec Baldwin cell phone tirade, everything is game for coverage. So it should be no surprise that when someone leaked the entire unpublished book of O.J. Simpson's "If I Did It" to the site in pdf form, they jumped on it.

The fall out?

The court case Ron Goldman's family has been fighting to win the book's publishing rights has been shot to heck. They were planning on using the profits from the book as a way to get Simpson to pay up on the $40 million he's been avoiding paying them for a decade after a '97 wrongful death court ruling. Now they're heading to court again ... this time to hit up TMZ for damages. [NYDN]
