Styles: Day of the Dads

FATHER'S DAY is right around the corner, and a gift for your darling dad is in order. And while investing in a gift of various grooming products may seem easy, steer clear of Lush's Overhaul ($49, lush.com), a new assortment of handmade products for the average guy. The set — which includes six items such as Ambrosia shaving cream, Wiccy Magic Muscles massage bar and Tramp shower gel — smells like a stale, stagnant mix of Axe, Red Zone and (oddly enough) peppermint, and this is not a good thing.

Like Lady M's bloodstained hands, like that tattooed wedding ring, like Marion Barry, Tarte's new Lock & Roll Eyeshadow Duo ($28, Sephora) Just. Won't. Go. Away. Two tubes contain two types of eyeshadows each. The liquid goes on with a lip-brushesque applicator, the powder with a rollerball. Both colors (a bronze and a sage green) are nearly impenetrable to heat and sweat. The liquid is a more dramatic look, while the powder is subtle; together they form one powerful supershadow.
