Styles: It Sounds Smart, So It Must Be True

Photo courtesy AmatokinTHE IMPENETRABLE CLAIMS of cosmetics are easy to swallow whole. If we said we'd harnessed the antiaging power of crystalloid kernicterus flagella, you'd totally buy that. Even though we randomly chose those words from a science book.

Maybe European import Amatokin ($173, Bloomingdale's) really can erase lines by "highlighting the expression of stem cell markers." (It sounds controversial, but isn't — the stuff doesn't contain stem cells.) Or it might just be another pleasant, effective, incredibly overpriced moisturizer.
