Styles: Yup, It's a Tanner
EVERY SPRING, we spend a good couple of weeks testing self-tanners. Tanning Bed in a Tube from Too Faced ($22.50, Sephora) has become our greatest friend and worst enemy. We liked the coconut smell and slight tint — handy since we tend to miss spots and want EVERYTHING TO WORK IMMEDIATELY. But one thing rankled. We put it on before bed, spent a good 10 minutes stark naked, then hit the sack feeling weird and sticky. The sensation lasted till morning; once showered, we were fine, but it wasn’t fun feeling as if we were covered in butterscotch all night.
» NO SURPRISES HERE: Vincent Longo Light Canvas Tinted Moisturizer ($38, Sephora) has an SPF of 20 and the feel of an ever-so-slightly greasy primer. The tinted moisturizer didn’t strike us as super-special; it hydrates, it’s a good base for powder, and it gave smooth coverage. The gradation in hue is nice: The eight shades range from pallid to light cocoa. The paler shades tend toward yellow, so if you’re fair, prepare to look jaundiced.
