Pedestrian Killed by Metrobus Was in Crosswalk
AFTER A METROBUS struck and killed a pedestrian Monday night near the Twinbrook station, initial reports had indicated that the person killed had been crossing the street without using a crosswalk. But as The Post's Ernesto Londono reports, 38-year-old Tao Sun was indeed in a crosswalk on Parklawn Drive when he was struck.
The Metrobus driver, Travis McDuffie, has been "placed on administrative leave with pay pending the results of routine drug and alcohol tests and the outcome of the police investigation," Londono reports. Sun was the 16th pedestrian killed in Montgomery County so far this year.
