Long-Winded: 'If You See Something Say Something'

e8020080715-seesomething.jpg IT'S THE AGE-OLD question: What is a monologist? Well, according to the dictionary, there are two defintions:

1. a form of dramatic entertainment, comedic solo, or the like by a single speaker 2. a prolonged talk or discourse by a single speaker, esp. one dominating or monopolizing a conversation.

Your Aunt Helen is a perfect example of number 2. Mike Daisey, whose show "If You See Something Say Something" is at Woolly Mammoth for just a week, is a great example of number 1. In this monolgue, brought to you courtesy of Cap Fringe, Daisey delves into the history of the Department of Homeland Security and weaves in the untold story of the father of the neutron bomb. In more impressive news, he manages to be funny while doing it.
