Campaign of Chuckles: Mike Huckabee

ARKANSAS GOVERNOR Mike Huckabee never really had a chance in the presidential primaries. But maybe that was just a warm-up.

Tonight, he'll compete in the Funniest Celebrity In Washington Contest at The Improv. His folksy humor was always a strong point in his stump speeches, so this might remembered as the night he abandoned politics for a more secure career: stand-up comedy.

I mean, really, which carries more glory: being the funniest celebrity in Washington or shaking hands and kissing babies on the campaign trail? I think we all know where Mike Huckabee would rather be.

  • Yeah, the buffoon huckabeen is really quite funny. One of his best was the joke that Obama dived to the floor after having a gun pointed at him. Google "huckabee Obama gun". YOU WILL GET ONE MILLION HITS, some from very ticked-off people.

Time for this star-wannabe-gaffe-machine to just get lost

  • Governor Michael Huckabee has one of the highest retention and proactive minds I know. To use wit in order to meld the populous into one on issues makes for one of the greatest leaders we Americans have known. Mike is in great company, Mark Twain, Will Rogers, Ronald Reagan.

Governor Huckabee supersedes all party loyalty putting We the People above the elite of the world. Be it as the future President or as our current status of a Benjamin Franklin, America is Blessed to have Mike Huckabee and his Quest, the Quest to which Sarah Palin has defined in Senator McCain's VP pick for his platform of changing Washington power.

  • Obama set himself up for that joke by threatening to take guns away from law abiding citizens and put them in the hands of criminals. Didn't we learn anything from the Massacre at Virginia Tech when 33 students lost their lives?

  • "Shelby" is at it again! Ditsing Mike when we all know that he is the best of the best! Sorry "Shelby", but you haven't seen the last of Mike because he'll continue to be very visible and might even win YOU over yet! ha!
