Those Wacky 1960s: Second Line

Photo from Tribute Productions IT'S DIFFICULT to stage an epic -- those stories that last decades and span generations tend to need more spectacle than a stage can provide. In "Second Line," the story last two decades but concerns only two lives: two black college students (Bennie and JoJo) find themselves drawn together by love and torn about by social change over the course of 20 years. It's an intimate epic. If that doesn't make sense to you, check out the play and you'll understand.
