Election Day Reactions

Tracy A. Woodward/TWP

"THERE WAS A POLL to elect a district court judge position. Not knowing any of the candidates, I voted for myself as a write-in!"
Wtfmetro.com had some fun with his ballot, adding, "It took me about two hours [to vote] tuesday morning. It wasn't that bad, though."

» "I IMAGINE THAT the major feeling across the U.S. is simply exhaustion. In fact, I'll bet the entire world is sick of hearing about our election."
Theabbotofunreason.blogspot.com was glad to see Nov. 4 come and go, adding, "I guess I win no matter what, because this thing will be done."

» "THE HIGHLIGHT OF IT ALL was the display that the first guy to vote gave. He came out with a real slow pimp to his step. He held his hands up waiting for our applause, [and] of course, we cheered. He took out a bottle of water and poured some [out] for the ancestors and all those that didn't make it to see this day, and then he drank."
Hellonegro.com, a D.C. native, relays a story of her voting experience in her old Southeast neighborhood.

» "I ALWAYS VOTE, and being a civil society junkie, I always get misty-eyed in the process. But [Tuesday] was the first time a candidate I supported in the primaries was there for the presidential election."
prodandponder.com probably felt better Tuesday than on most election days.
