SOUND BETS
Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem), 'The '59 Sound'
| Band: | Brian Fallon (The Gaslight Anthem) |
| Song: | "The '59 Sound" acoustic |
| Album: | Studio version on "The '59 Sound" (SideOneDummy Records) |
| Sounds Like: | I can't get this song out of my head, and even though I much prefer the studio version by The Gaslight Anthem, I just wanted an excuse to post it again. Usually the band sounds like Bruce Springsteen, The Replacements and Against Me! In other words, rock 'n' roll. But this song also touches on The Cure and The Outfield and emo and warm fuzzy things. |
| D.C. Bound: | Played Ram's Head Live in Baltimore on Oct. 12, and the closest Fallon is coming on his short solo tour is in Richmond on Jan. 22 at Mojo's. |
