NAME THAT TOT
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been playing that game this week in which celebrities pick anything-but-common names for their children. Nothing like, say, Benjamin. Or Jennifer. They announced that their second daughter, who was born Jan. 6, is named Seraphina Rose. The couple's older daughter is Violet Anne. We get it — flowers and angels are the couple's themes of choice. 'DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER I SAY IT OR WRITE IT: IT'S FUNNY'
Chris Rock is making a comeback — as an author. Grand Central Publishing says Rock's new book — not yet titled — will be full of "comedic observations." It's tentatively scheduled for release next year. His book "Rock This!" was published in 1997.

INFANT SON FEELS PRESSURE TO TOP DAD'S ROLE AS CHE
It's a baby boy named Lazaro for Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal and Argentine actress Dolores Fonzi. Garcia Bernal has starred in movies such as "Amores Perros," "The Motorcycle Diaries" and "Babel."

HER LIPS ARE MOVING, BUT ALL WE HEAR IS 'WAH, WAH, WAH'
Lil Kim is not happy about the way she's portrayed in the biopic about late rapper the Notorious B.I.G. Biggie was Lil Kim's mentor, and the two were also romantically linked. Their sometimes-rocky relationship is depicted in the new movie "Notorious," in theaters Friday, but Lil Kim doesn't think it's very accurate. In a statement, she said: "The film studio was more concerned about painting me as a 'character' to create an interesting story line instead of a person."

MANDEL OFFERS GOD A DEAL
Howie Mandel is out of the hospital and plans to return to work Wednesday. Mandel was in Toronto taping his new show "Howie Do It!" when he was taken to the hospital for an irregular heartbeat Monday, said Lewis Kay, publicist for the 53-year-old comedian and game show host.
Mandel was conscious and breathing when police officers responded to a report of a man with a medical condition at a hotel Monday evening.

According to People magazine, new "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi is engaged. DioGuardi's boyfriend, Mike McCuddy, popped the question in December. We'd like to congratulate Kara — she holds the record for fastest rise to "we care about you" status.
