Idol Chatter: Adam Lambert in San Diego

Screen grab from Fox 5 San Diego
THEEEEEEEERRRRRRE YOU GO, Fox 5 San Diego — the homecoming of Adam Lambert is getting some serious promotion after a bit of a late start Thursday.

He spent some quality time at the station's studio on Friday, where he signed autographs, talked with fans and, uh, did the weather?

He also put eyeliner on the weather gal and dispensed some makeup tips like this one: "The secret is you put it on the inside and the outside. ... I think the key is you put it on and you smudge it in your hand ... so it looks like you slept in it a little bit."

Who said Milwaukee had the wacky market cornered?

Watch for that and more videos from the day below.

  • Just left Mt. Carmel High School. Adam was great. It was so much fun. After he sang "Black and White" and "Mad World" a young girl ran up on the stage and ripped her top off. She was escorted away by guards. Adam was great

  • Adam is AMAZING@! I work for the VA and I am so proud that Adam went to Mirarmar to support the troops and their families while he was home in San Diego! Go Adam!

  • I keep reading comments about Kris and Danny's homecomings being larger than Adam's. I would guess that's because having a celebrity return home to Milwaukee or Kris' small southern town (I don't recall where he's from, exactly) would be a tad more unusual and exciting that it would be for California residents, who, by now, must be somewhat immune to the whole "star" thing. Also, Adam hasn't been living in San Diego for a decade, having spent these past ten years in Hollywood. He doesn't really have the same current "home town" connection the other two obviously have. I watched his homecoming on live streaming, though, and those in attendance were totally THRILLED to meet Adam--everyone from fans of all ages to really excited newspeople, who later commented on how nice, polite and well-grounded he was.

I think Adam is fabulous, and I hope all his fans remember to vote their fingers off for the full two hours Tuesday night. DON'T LET WHAT HAPPEND TWO WEEKS AGO HAPPEN AGAIN!
