Michael Jackson Tribute

VOICES
EVERYONE THINKS THEY MATTER
From Liza Minnelli to Justin Timberlake to Donald Trump, celebrities of all shapes and sizes poured out of the woodwork Friday, Saturday and Sunday, paying tribute to Michael Jackson in hastily written press releases and interviews with media outlets desperate for quotes. Everyone had something to say — even micro-celebs like these — and not all of it was nice.

BLOGGER CROSSES LINE, THEN SETS IT ON FIRE
Perez Hilton has found himself on the defensive again, this time for a posting about Michael Jackson. After early reports Thursday, Hilton wrote that he doubted Jackson had gone into cardiac arrest. In a post that has since been removed from Perezhilton.com, the celebrity blogger speculated that Jackson was pulling a stunt to get out of his upcoming concerts in London. Many ex-fans have called for a boycott of Hilton's blog.

STATURE
JACKSON NOTHING LIKE TOM CRUISE
Carson Daly, who spent 20 minutes with Jackson once, remembers him for his height. "The first thing that struck me was how tall he was," he told Time. "Everybody I had met in Hollywood up until this point was sort of disappointingly short and sort of underwhelming."

Corey Feldman dedicated a concert by his band, Truth Movement, to Jackson Saturday. "I want to not only dedicate this performance to him, because without Michael Jackson, I wouldn't be performing onstage tonight," Feldman told the crowd, according to People. com. "It's been really difficult, honestly. I'm all shaken up right now," he said after the show.

LEGACY
ANNA NICOLE SMITH'S NAME INVOKED FOR 8,000TH TIME
Deepak Chopra, guru and best-selling author, met Jackson more than 20 years ago to teach him meditation, he tells Time magazine. "He was very shy, very introverted, but very curious about consciousness and spirituality. You know, while the world called him weird, he wondered why the world was so weird. He'd ask me, 'Why do people go to war? Why is there genocide? What's happening in Sudan? Why have we killed the environment? Why is there racism and bigotry and hatred and prejudice?'" Chopra blames drugs from unscrupulous doctors for Jackson's death: "The same thing happened with Anna Nicole Smith," he told Time.
