I'm not a super Michael Jackson freak wearing a glitter glove and red jacket, and it is apparent he was having mental issues, but in reference to your comment "What contribution did he [make to] society? I am sorry but the moonwalk does not count as life changing!", he did the following:
1) He helped raise funds for cancer
2) He helped raise funds for UNICEF
3) He helped with Aid to Africa
4) He helped with HIV causes
5) He held many benifit concerts
6) He helped raise fund for 911 victims families
7) He raised funds for Nelson Mandela's Foundation
And musically
1) he changed MTV's video format.
2) he raised humnitarian funds with a song "We are the world"
3) he made a world peace song called "Heal the World"
4) he made a song to raise awarness of the environment called "Earth Song"
5) And he had a song called "Man in the Mirror" which says ... If you want to make the world a better place just look at yourself and make a change!"
What have YOU done for society?
