Shakin' and Stirring: Pink Martini

Pink Martini
TUESDAY: Pink Martini is the perfect band for the Obama era: Their jazzy music is soothing, witty and interesting; they sing in various languages — Arabic, French, Italian; and they'll draw inspiration from anything.

Their songs include reworked classics like "Tea for Two," tunes inspired by 1960s ketchup ads, and original compositions. The 12-piece group also has a romantic, old-Hollywood vibe to it.

» Wolf Trap Filene Center, 1551 Trap Road, Vienna; Tues., June 9, 8 p.m., $22-$40; 703-255-1900.
