Comic Look: 'Relatively Epic'

THIS WEEK: Raymond Uhlir's paintings may look like 1980s kids' cartoons, but the themes and the narrative of his latest show, "Relatively Epic" — in which a woman struggles with family, community, religion and colorful magic clouds — are straight out of classic Western mythology.

Actually, so are the themes of 1980s kids' cartoons. Rainbow Brite was totally the heroine with a thousand faces.
