BEST OF 2009
Best Indian: Rasika

IT'S MODERN, IT'S TRADITIONAL, and it's in a class by itself. Diners swear by the palak chaat (crispy spinach) appetizer, but there are almost no misses on the spicy, flavorful menu. Other must-try dishes: black cod, tandoori salmon and eggplant with spicy potatoes. Home cooks can nab jars of the kitchen's sauces ($6.50 for 16 oz.) to replicate the experience at home.
Owner's Fave: Ashok Bajaj dines all over town, but when it comes to Indian cuisine, he prefers that of a true expert — his mom.
