CONSIDER MIE N YU'S BATHROOM the Studio 54 of D.C.'s toilets. The lavish unisex lavatory is filled with high-heeled ladies and well-groomed men casting glances at each other while washing up. The bathroom is outfitted with rock-lined barrel sinks, stalls made of carved dark wood and continuous streams of steaming water. "It promotes social interaction in a different part of the restaurant," says Oren Molovinsky, general manager. "It takes people out of their comfort zone. We want to heighten the social awareness in D.C."
