Best Source of Free Food: Costco

WHILE IT's TECHNICALLY not free — a yearlong membership to Costco Wholesale costs $50 at minimum — you'd be hard-pressed to find somewhere with as many gratis samples. Weekends are best, as bigger crowds mean more free snacks, but even during the week you can walk through the warehouse and feel like you just ate an entire meal.
Classic Meal: If the free food isn't enough, get the hot dog and soda combination in the dining area for $1.50 — the same price it was when the first Costco opened in 1983.
