Best Sushi: Sushiko

EXPRESS READERS' FAVORITE D.C. sushi bar is also the oldest. Established in 1976, Sushiko stays on top with a combination of fresh ingredients — it flies fresh fish in from all over the world, says Russell Gravatt, one of the owners — and fresh ideas. You might not expect to find salmon ceviche in a sushi joint, but Gravatt says it's one of his favorite things to order.
Don't Be Alarmed By: The strip club next door to the Glover Park location. Gravatt says: "It's been there forever, and they're never going away and we're never going away, so it's a constant battle. The only thing we share is a dumpster."
