TUESDAY: "Some Like It Hot," the 1959 comedy about two musicians who dress in drag and join an all-female orchestra to escape the Chicago mafia, is not just one of Marilyn Monroe's finest movies. It's one of the best movies of all time. If you know anyone who says they can't watch black and white films without falling asleep, try this one on them. It's showing at AFI tonight to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

» AFI Silver, 8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring; Tue., Dec. 1, 6:30 p.m., $6-$10; 301-495-6700. (Silver Spring)
