Jon Gosselin didn't show up to a hearing in his legal fight with TLC, and the hearing started without him. The judge says Gosselin's lawyers don't plan to call witnesses. The network wants the judge to stop Gosselin from making media appearances that it says violate his exclusive contract, which TLC says remains in force. Gosselin says he has a right to earn a living as a media personality. He also claims in a countersuit that TLC violated Pennsylvania's child labor laws in filming his eight children.

'HANNAH MONTANA' AND 'GRAMMY' DON'T BELONG IN THE SAME SENTENCE
A Miley Cyrus song has been pulled from Grammy contention because it was not written specifically for "Hannah Montana: The Movie," People.com reported. "The Climb" was nominated for best song written for a soundtrack. A source told People that the song was submitted by mistake.

ALEXA RAY JOEL'S PARENTS SPEAK OUT
Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley say their daughter is trying to recover from her "dangerous actions" of last weekend, when Alexa Ray Joel was hospitalized after a drug overdose. Joel and Brinkley said Wednesday that their daughter's actions came "while suffering a devastating heartbreak." Joel and Brinkley also say a report in the New York Post that said she had tried to commit suicide after a fight with her mom was "false."

YEAH, YEAH, BEYONCE DESERVED IT MORE
Kanye West and Taylor Swift have been named the king and queen of the charts. Billboard magazine named Swift the top female artist, and West was declared top male artist. But Swift trumps West overall. She was the top artist of the year, with Beyonce coming in second and Lady Gaga third. West and Swift provided one of the year's most-talked-about episodes when West hijacked her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech.

» "I gagged when my son came in and asked me about implants." — Wendy Williams, whose 9-year-old son found out she had a breast augmentation from watching her talk show. "I sat down and went through plastic surgery with him," she tells People.com. Williams also admitted that she got liposuction at the same time.
