People: Stephen Colbert Graces the Cover of Sports Illustrated

Stephen Colbert is gracing the cover of the latest Sports Illustrated, on newsstands Wednesday. The host of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" appears wearing an Olympic speedskating uniform in the issue, which is devoted to sports media. In November, devoted Colbert fans known as the Colbert Nation became the official primary sponsor of U.S. Speedskating, donating more than $250,000.

Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez have split, Usmagazine.com reported. A source blames the high-profile breakup on Hudson's desire for attention from the paparazzi: "Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile," the source said of the supposedly camera-hungry Hudson.

Long Island authorities say Lindsay Lohan's father is accused of violating an order of protection by calling his estranged girlfriend. Lohan was arrested Monday on a charge of criminal contempt. In June, a judge said Lohan would avoid prosecution on a charge of aggravated harassment if he stayed out of trouble for a year.

ABBA is dancing its way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, the Hollies and the Stooges. The list of the next class of inductees was released Tuesday by the Cleveland hall. ABBA and the Stooges made it in this time after being nominated previously but not making the cut. ABBA continues to sell millions of records each year.

MAN, THIS ALBUM WILL BASICALLY PUBLICIZE ITSELF?
Lil Wayne heads to jail in February in his New York gun case, just days after his next album comes out. The rap star's sentencing date is Feb. 9, set in a Manhattan state court Tuesday. Lil Wayne said nothing during his court appearance. He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The charge stemmed from a 2007 traffic stop of his tour bus. His plea deal calls for a year in jail. Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman said Lil Wayne's next album, "Rebirth," is due for release Feb. 1.
