The singer/actress will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who decides she wants the true college experience and enrolls at New York University, Entertainment Weekly reports. She winds up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). She's slated to show up in early October.

N.Y.C. CITY COUNCIL RUINS EVERYBODY'S GPS SOFTWARE
A New York City street corner will be renamed for the late Jam Master Jay, aka Jason Mizell, and Run-DMC. The New York City Council has approved the new name "Run-DMC JMJ Way" for the corner of 205th Street and Hollis Avenue. Jam Master Jay was the D.J. for Run-DMC. He was gunned down in Queens in 2002.

TOO OLD FOR 'GOSSIP GIRL'
Julia Stiles will make her Broadway debut in a revival of David Mamet's "Oleanna," opening Oct. 11 at the Golden Theater. The 28-year-old will play a student, and Bill Pullman will play a college professor in the production.

Now, Rycroft has another sparkler, from fiance Tye Strickland. Spokeswoman Susan Madore says Strickland is a 28-year-old insurance agent and has been dating Rycroft on and off for 2 and-a-half years. He proposed privately Friday night, and then the couple celebrated with both sets of parents over dinner. After Rycroft's run on "The Bachelor," the former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader appeared on "Dancing With the Stars."

Kendra Wilkinson — the former star of "The Girls Next Door" who now has her own reality TV show spin-off, "Kendra" — married pro football player Hank Baskett on Saturday on the lawn of the Playboy Mansion, People.com reported. The ceremony was captured on camera for Wilkinson's TV show. The couple then flew off to St. Lucia for their honeymoon.

Hackers have broadcast bogus information about celebrities including Britney Spears and Ellen DeGeneres after breaking into their Twitpic accounts. The Internet messaging system shut down part of its service after the hacking was discovered Sunday because of what the Charleston, S.C.-based company described as a "vulnerability" in the mobile posting system. Twitpic Inc. said to disregard a message from Spears' account that incorrectly said the singer had died, and they were "implementing a fix immediately."

PRIVATE SERVICE TO BE HELD FOR FAWCETT TODAY
A private funeral service will be held Tuesday for Farrah Fawcett at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. Church officials say the service is set for 4 p.m. Fawcett died Thursday from a rare cancer. She was 62.

Perez Hilton has found himself on the defensive again, this time for a posting about Michael Jackson. After early reports Thursday, Hilton wrote that he doubted Jackson had gone into cardiac arrest. In a post that has since been removed from Perezhilton.com, the celebrity blogger speculated that Jackson was pulling a stunt to get out of his upcoming concerts in London. Many ex-fans have called for a boycott of Hilton's blog.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick are the proud parents of twin girls delivered by a surrogate mother. The girls were born Monday at an Ohio hospital. Marion Loretta Elwell weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces, and Tabitha Hodge weighed 6 pounds. Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker's side. "The babies are doing beautifully, and the entire family is over the moon," said a publicist. The couple also have a son, who's 6.

Police have charged the tour manager of the Black Eyed Peas with assault after he allegedly gave Perez Hilton a black eye outside a Toronto nightclub. Hilton said he got into an argument with band members Fergie and will.i.am at the Cobra nightclub early Monday morning and that Polo Molina punched him outside. Molina turned himself in and has been charged with assaulting Hilton.
