Addison Road
That depends on what the definition of worst is.
By str , Posted October 19, 2009 4:20 AMWhat do you mean by this season? What has changed this season from previous seasons?
By Common Kevin , Posted October 19, 2009 6:40 AMIf your football team is looking for a win, then just call on Dan Snyder to notch up a quick "W" in the left column.
By Bag over my head , Posted October 19, 2009 7:28 AMThey are not THE WORST but they are NEAR THE BOTTOM!!!
By jev , Posted October 19, 2009 8:09 AMDon't get me wrong - I still love the team but the games are so hard to watch.
Maybe this week, but my money's still on Oakland in the race for first draft pick in 2010.
By Was Buf., Now Was. , Posted October 19, 2009 8:25 AMMaybe this will convince Dan Snyder to sell....
By Frank , Posted October 19, 2009 8:29 AMUp to yesterday, I would have said no, but after the sad-sack Raiders pummeled a pretty good Philliy team while the Deadskins sleep-walked through another loss to a previously-winless team, I have to agree. The only team that might nudge the Skins from the bottom slot would be the pathetic Lions. Oh, wait - they beat Washington, didn't they? I guess that answers your question!
By Philistine , Posted October 19, 2009 8:34 AMUntil Snyder is bought out, them "Deadskins" will continue to lose! I say we draft Robert Johnson to buy Snyder out!!
By John Smith , Posted October 19, 2009 8:47 AMShockingly, no. The Redskins aren't even the worst team in the NFC this season. Though they're clearly one of the suckiest.
By Diogenes , Posted October 19, 2009 8:50 AMI think they need help in understanding they are strong enouph to beat their opponent
By ss , Posted October 19, 2009 8:52 AMThey are one of the worst but I'm predicting a winning streak when we'll be asking if the Redskins can still make the playoffs?
By brad2 , Posted October 19, 2009 8:56 AMNo, the Rams are clearly the worst, and the Redskins have already beaten them. I would put them at third worst behind St. Louis and Cleveland, though, and doubt they could beat Tampa again.
By Baltika4 , Posted October 19, 2009 9:11 AMLet's see. Costs megabucks; check. Productivity is zilch; check. After the media finally figures out there is nothing behind the hype, then the public blame game and finger pointing begins, coz it must be everybody else's fault; check.
Where is the problem? The Skins fit right in with everthing about DC.
By The Washington DEECEE Redskins , Posted October 19, 2009 9:14 AMThe Washington Redskins are the worst professional sports franchise. Period. The organization is so poorly managed. It all comes down to that leprous garden gnome lil'danny snyder. He's just another clueless rich boy ruining his toys.
For the last couple of years I used to think of the team as the Oakland of the east. Now I think the Raiders are the Redskins of the West.
By MildlyMisanthropic , Posted October 19, 2009 9:18 AMThey're not the worst, but they're in the bottom 5. To repeat what I've said before...Zorn, Campbell and Portis should be fired/traded.
By chris , Posted October 19, 2009 10:06 AMWell, it could be worse; Rush Limbaugh could buy them.
By Anonymous , Posted October 19, 2009 11:21 AMMight want to ask the two teams the 'Skins beat. We're clearly not the best team in the league, but it's hard to call a 2-4 team the worst.
By Durr , Posted October 19, 2009 11:29 AMIF U NEED A WIN ....PLAY THE SKINS....
By Frankie Nickles , Posted October 19, 2009 11:40 AMIt is illegal to text and drive, etc. Soon it will be illegal to drive with that paper bag on your head, since it obstructs vision.
By Crystal ball , Posted October 19, 2009 11:55 AMIf the 'Skins are not the worst yet, they are rocketing to the bottom of the NFL faster than anyone else. And the disaster starts at the top with Snyder. A new coach or quarterback will not solve Washington's problems on offense.
By Philimus , Posted October 19, 2009 12:09 PMMay not be the worst team...there are teams that still haven't won a game at all. They are perhaps the worst managed/coached team. I'm not a Skins fan, but Snyder is absolutely horrible...Mike Brown is perhaps a step below Snyder is running a football franchise into the ground.
By dagny , Posted October 19, 2009 1:02 PMWhen you get beaten by the Lions, you're in contention for best of the worst.
By another person , Posted October 19, 2009 1:13 PMDon't know and don't care. I haven't watched football since the NFL let that loser dog killer Vick back in the league.
By LOL , Posted October 19, 2009 1:26 PMI'd like to ask this question in the locker rooms of the two teams the Redskins have managed to defeat.
By Sammie , Posted October 19, 2009 2:00 PMYou aint seen nothin' yet. What till Snyder sells next year's first round draft pick to put more money in his pocket.
By Tea leaves , Posted October 19, 2009 2:02 PMWhy is such a question the basis of a survey? This isn't a matter of an idea, a theory...an idea....our laws, our health...civil rights, freedom of speach....problems and solutions, or whatever. It's just a game! Why are sports and related matters so often treated like philosophy. Were there an option to choose "I" for "Indifferent" that would be my choice here!
By Lowspark , Posted October 19, 2009 2:17 PM@ Lowspark -
By Fed , Posted October 19, 2009 2:56 PMbecause every time I walked around today, and in every meeting, I was asked how to fix the Redskins. Therefore, the question IS affecting health and morale, thus is treated like philosophy. Sadly though, I can only be tasked to perform the impossible. Miracles, like salvaging the Redskins' season, are beyond my mere mortal capabilities. I can tell you how to cut holes in your paper bag.
As a long time STH, I hate to say it but I think they are the worst team - or very very close to it. By being the first team to go their first 6 games against winless teams tells me that they have had a schedule that is unprecedented in its weakness (ignoring the NYG for the moment) -- and they still are losing. Yeah, others may have no wins but can anyone really say with a straight face that if the Redskins had played even average teams that they wouldn't be winless too? Of course they would be winless, in my opinion. The only good thing I can say about Snyder is that at least they aren't doing PSLs -- though if the Redskins ever get good under his watch you better believe PSLs are coming. Its all about the $$ to him.
By JJH , Posted October 19, 2009 3:23 PMAbsolutely. Next stop... a Monday night beat down by the Philadelphia Eagles!!!
By matt g , Posted October 19, 2009 3:32 PMI'm with LOL.
By Anonymous , Posted October 19, 2009 3:34 PMFed,
By LOL , Posted October 19, 2009 5:12 PMI don't think even the Almighty Obama can fix the "skins." They are and have always been 'HOPELESS."
"I haven't watched football since the NFL let that loser dog killer Vick back in the league."
Good answer!!!
By George Washington , Posted October 19, 2009 5:14 PMThe real reason native americans want the redskins to change their name - who would want to be associated with a team this bad? It's quite offensive indeed!
